This piece of art I found while surfing the web, it hit me hard not the art itself but how it was presented. Can art really be something that has to represent something meaning full? Can't it just express a love of colour? I want to know why we have to dissect every piece of art work. Some artist might not want to have their work to express anything, they just want to create something for others to enjoy. Why does everything in our world have to be explained. One of the reasons art seems magical is because of the mystery, I agree somethings in our world we do need to understand but somethings need to be left alone. Some people might need to "explain" art and I understand but people who don't want to shouldn't have to. In schools children are forced to explain art. I know I am also trying to find a "meaning" behind all of this and something even more mysterious, the human mind. I am one of those people who need to "explain" things. In the end I am not telling people not to "explain" art but saying that the world is something that we are still exploring and sometimes I question our methods of exploring, I am saying in order for us to truly explore the world we need to first explore ourselves and there is still much to be discovered.
